The tips for what to visit in the area, recommended to us by the hostess, were really good and worth visiting! The fireplace, tennis court and hot tub just completed our stay entirely. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to everyone!

Mike is a great host and very helpful. The room was clean, spacious with a spectacular view over the bay. Not to mention the delightful breakfast prepared by Mike. We loved the staying here very much and would highly recommend this place to our friends.

This is a special place to stay - the views from our room over the bay were spectacular. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and exploring the islands. Brita and Heinz are generous hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was spacious and well equipped. This has to be one of the best places I have stayed.

We didn’t have time for breakfast. The location was fantastic.

Situated within 1 km of Long Beach and 400 metres of Christ church, Bellrock Lodge features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Russell. This 5-star guest house offers full-day security and luggage storage space. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 4.7 km from Kemp House and Stone Store. Absolutely loved staying here , so cozy and warm. The little details make a big difference. It was pouring with rain when we got there and the host pre heated it for us can't thank you enough.

Lovely shower, comfy bed, plenty of room to park and in the rooms. We have recommended to friends as a very comfortable place to stay , spotlessly clean with friendly and helpful hosts who give good value plus beautiful grounds handy to town and a lovely peaceful and harmonious outlook to enjoy/

Boasting garden views, The Waterfront Studio Opito Bay offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 37 km from Opua Forest. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 16 km from Kemp House and Stone Store. The waterfront studio was one of the most scenic places we have stayed. The view is outstanding and the room is excellent. It was so good that we stayed in every night for dinner to enjoy the view and location. We were exceptionally well hosted and the room was great value with breakfast and cheeses provided. We would definitely return and recommend this for your next stay.
