Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay on Taquile Island.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It’s a family home and they really make you feel like family. The breakfast is so filling and has the best view of Lake Titicaca. It is a little away from the plaza but only about a 15-20 minute walk. Not bad at all. The walks helped me acclimate to the altitude much quicker. However, if you need a ride the host is more than happy to drop you off and pick you up. He even was gracious enough to pick me up from the bus station when I arrived at 4 am. The family is the best. He also helped me book a tour to the floating islands as well as a night stay on Amantani. Honestly, this was one of my favorite stays in Peru so far. Whenever I come back to Puno I will definitely come back to stay here. The room gets a bit cold but they have a little radiator that warms the room right up and the bed is very comfortable with an incredible view to watch the sunrise and set over the lake.

After dealing with the stressful situation at the airport, she gave me a warm welcome when I returned to the hotel, which made me feel at home and relieved. Also, the location is great. For instance, there are some markets and a mall within walking distance. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Juliaca airport by taxi and about 15 minutes by colectivo (route B-1).
