I stayed at The Sun Long Beach Resort for 6 nights and had such a lovely experience. The location is perfect—just a short 5-minute walk to Long Beach and close to the main road where you’ll find restaurants, an ATM, and a grocery store. Super convenient without being noisy. The room was spotless, spacious, and really comfortable. They leave fresh water every day, which was a thoughtful touch, and you can also rent a scooter directly from the resort, which made it really easy to explore the island. It’s true that there’s a mosque nearby and you can hear the call to prayer, especially early in the morning—but I used earplugs and slept right through it every night without a problem. The real highlight was the staff—they were incredibly kind and helpful. My flight was seriously delayed and I arrived really late, after restaurants had already closed. They proactively messaged me to ask if I’d like them to prepare something in advance—and when I arrived, there was a delicious pad Thai and fresh watermelon waiting for me, which they didn’t even charge for. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and made me feel so welcome. Would absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful, well-located stay with genuinely kind people running it!

Because we caught Christmas in this location, they gave us a sweet gift. We had everything we wanted, it's clean, spacious, close to the beach, restaurants, shops.

These handcrafted huts/bungalows are clean, spacious, providing AC and a wonderful rotating fan. The bathroom is perfectly sloped to dry quickly. Host speaks best English we’ve encountered, and his wife is a superb cook. I especially appreciate the sticky brown rice with fresh coconut. There are set breakfast options as well as a la carte. Be sure to inquire about restaurant hours.

Pretty much everything!! The location is great only few meters from the beach. The bungalow are very cute and authentic, we have a net for bugs but it’s doesn’t seem to enter bug in the room! The hammock on the balcony is a huge plus for me, it was so peaceful. We even have a fridge in the room During our stay they change also the fridge and put more socket in the room! It was very handful originally only 2 socket (one for the fridge and one for the fan so it was complicated to charge phone and others)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lanta Smile Inn. Mr Yim is a great host, very friendly, helpful and glad to help organise tours etc in Koh Lanta. The room was modern, spotlessly cleaned and had great air con. The location is very central, 5 minute walk to long beach and there are plenty of eateries and a minimart within 2 mins walking distance. The location is also serviced by a lot of the free transfers included with tours/boats. The accomodation also offers pickup/drop off from the pier for 100THB pp. Would highly recommend this spot and would happily stay again.

Just came from Da Nang so was searching for a bit of peace and quiet and we definitely found it here. The property has cats, chickens, lizards, birds (saw 2 kingfishers) and cows next door. Its a slice of heaven in the bush and still very close to infrastructure and arguable one of the nicest beaches on the island. Nan the owner and his family are always smiling and happy to help out if you need something. We arrived late and it was no problem at all.
