The staff is exceptional and spontaneously friendly. They treat you like royalty. Accommodation is perfect. Location in the quiet tranquil Karoo is fantastic. The kitchen and service are of a very.high standard and a gastronomic experience to remember. The feet and body massages were very effective to relax body.and soul.

Its a great hotel for the location it is in, The food was great and the manage the situation around load shedding very well. It can feel a bit isolated, but that is the location. Rooms are clean and nice rather than luxury. The staff really do try and be responsive to requests. You are pretty much in the middle of desert so need bear that in mind.

The accommodation was quaint, rustic and so original but so comfortable and sufficient. The character of the transformed old jail is brilliant. The groundsman does an exceptional job in keeping the entire area pristine and neat. First impressions are WOW

Beautiful scenery, rooms are lovely and spacious. The service can be improved, simple value adds that won't cost money, like assisting the luggage offload. Waiters at the restaurant are great but will benefit from a little training on attention to detail when taking and serving orders. Contingencies for load shedding and poor water pressure should be in place, but didn't spoil our stay. Really beautiful boutique farm lodge, we'll be back
