Breakfast was beautifully laid out in the lower dining lounge, where I could help myself to a wide variety of standard items. It was self-service, all I could eat, take as much time as I wanted, and fresh! The whole hotel is fitted into a renovated river barge, with exceptional interior design and all the best quality modcoms. I wish I could have stayed there longer!

Excellent location - close to everything we wanted to see. Our host Mark was friendly and informative. Although the space is small, the deck seating gave us enough room to spread out. Despite the volume of people visiting the dock and surrounding restaurants in this very popular area, the Sea Dancer was a quiet respite. Note: The bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom are small, but having slept on boats in the past, it was not unexpected, just a little tight. The bunks are sufficient for kids or smaller adults (we had two female adults sharing the room).

I booked this narrow boat for me and the wife as it was in close proximity to The London Stadium where we were going to an event. It was ideal just to chill out on the boat and on the deck with a drink without the need to go out and about which you feel you have to do if you’re in a hotel room, although a little walk up the tow path there are many riverside bars and restaurants if you did choose to go out. The boat is well equipped with a kitchen with a hob, an air fryer and fridge along with a kettle and toaster so we were able to cook our own meals during the stay. There is a small deck at the rear of the boat with folding chairs supplied to sit out on. The river where the the boat is moored is very active with boats passing often with everyone very friendly and giving you a wave as they passed. There is also a lot of wildlife on the river and we had a family of Moorhens building a nest right behind the boat which was lovely to watch. The bedroom has a double bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower and instant hot water which worked as good as our one at home. The toilet was a composting toilet which we didn’t find to be an issue.

To stay in a narrowboat in the centre of London is truly unique. I stayed two nights on the boat with my three daughters and the kids and myself loved it. The inside of the boat is cosy and full of character. A gas heater kept us warm in February. The beds were comfy. For an additional fee the boat owner offered to take us on a little cruise along the canal, which was a really fun experience. Little Venice is a wonderfully quiet part of London.
