This one night stay was the highlight of our stays - and we loved the other two places in Chelsea and Trafalgar Square….but to stay in a 41 ft. BEAUTIFUL cabin cruiser for the night in such a historic place (St, Katherine’s docks were bombed in the ‘41 blitz so all buildings surrounding the marina are new because of that) this was the epitome of cool! Our friends here in Canada got such a kick out of the fact that we did this! And to find such a gem on booking.com - who knew! Directly beside the Tower Bridge!!!! The owner and our host Mark….what a fabulous fellow, to share his beautiful boat enabling travellers such a unique experience. Mark - thank YOU so much. For greeting us at our arrival, showing us around your beautiful boat! You can’t know how much this one night stay meant to us for our first night! My daughter was sceptical….I’m 62 and knew when we booked it just felt right! And it was…It was magical! (She agrees) And the surrounding restaurants, the safety we felt in the marina, the beautiful blue boat lights at night, and a very comfortable sleep too! THANK YOU again!

But if you are in the mood for something different in a great location with all needs met, give this houseboat a try! There’s an easy to understand guide to the facilities on the boat. Included parking is right at the boat and directions to access are complete and simple. Nearby pubs and cafes. If you go, and you see owner Mark around the boats in the morning, talk to him! He is friendly with loads of stories and information and can tell you all about the boats. Our first visit to Sheffield, an interesting city with lots of history and many restaurants, pubs and historical sights. We hope to be back!

It was well located for access to the main areas we needed and a short drive to Staines and the shops. It was very clean tidy and exceeded our expectations

I booked this narrow boat for me and the wife as it was in close proximity to The London Stadium where we were going to an event. It was ideal just to chill out on the boat and on the deck with a drink without the need to go out and about which you feel you have to do if you’re in a hotel room, although a little walk up the tow path there are many riverside bars and restaurants if you did choose to go out. The boat is well equipped with a kitchen with a hob, an air fryer and fridge along with a kettle and toaster so we were able to cook our own meals during the stay. There is a small deck at the rear of the boat with folding chairs supplied to sit out on. The river where the the boat is moored is very active with boats passing often with everyone very friendly and giving you a wave as they passed. There is also a lot of wildlife on the river and we had a family of Moorhens building a nest right behind the boat which was lovely to watch. The bedroom has a double bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower and instant hot water which worked as good as our one at home. The toilet was a composting toilet which we didn’t find to be an issue.
