Ideally set in Edinburgh, Edinburgh - Houseboats features a continental breakfast and free WiFi. This 4-star boat offers full-day security and luggage storage space. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the lake and river. Of course, this review cannot be conventional: how could you even think about comparing a narrow boat with a standard hotel room? We stayed for two days at the four sisters boatels and we absolutely loved it there are some quirks, but that's the goal when you choose anything non standard, right? So if an out-of-the-ordinary stay is what you are looking for, go for it, it's definitely different and your kids will love it as well (the mini-bunk beds definitely were a hit with my daughter), the beds were confy (but on the narrow side, due to the boat format, duh!), the kitchen was fully equipped and everything was spotless clean. Definitely recommend!

The peace and tranquility. The whole house boat experience, finished to the highest of standards. The friendly welcome, filled with knowledge about the site. The use of the kayaks were a bonus! Even managed a xold water swim! Cannot recommend this gem of a site highly enough!

Location was easily available by public transport from the airport and also to the central (direct line with tram, and bus). Not too far from central but far enought that the area was calm. If you are intrested about famous boats than the Royal Yacht Britannia is only 5 min walk away. Staff was friendly ans helpful and you could leave your baggeges till check in time at the reception. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special, the srambled eggs wasn't the best :)

The house boat was fabulous with everything you would need. Views were lovely. Enjoyed the peace and quiet, the kayaking and the wildlife. Met Ewen on arrival greeted us and told us all about the area, very informative.

We had a Queen room which was quite compact but the space was well utilised providing outstanding comfort. The boat was o a great location; 10min walk to Royal Yacht Britannia and only a short bus ride into Edinburgh city centre.
