    The setting of this hotel may be one of the most dramatic I have ever experienced, nestled in the mountains above the main village. Despite its isolation, the hospitality of the owner and the wonderful breakfast as well as nightly dinners made this an amazing destination and one that we are already planning to revisit.

    Very welcoming and hospitable host! greeted us way after check in time, helped us wih everything we asked. We also had a great chat about the history of the village. the breakfast was simple and exactly what we needed- some toasts, coffee and orange juice. And as a bonus, we were sorrounded by outrageously beautiful landscapes. Definitely worth the climb.

    We had an outstanding stay at El Caleyon, perched atop the picturesque village of Bulnes. Checking in was a breeze and we had our room ready to leave our bags and start exploring the area. We also enjoyed our host's hospitality with complimentary breakfast and some good stories to start our next day. The only regret is that we could not stay longer as our vacation schedule was already packed. Heartily recommend if you're looking for an off-the-beaten-track, quiet accommodation with breathtaking surroundings.

    What a location! Surrounded by the high mountains of the Picos de Europa. The food was excellent and the evening meals of local origin. The accommodation has a small bar too and there are a number of restaurants in the village. The area is steeped in history and the owner, Alberto is super knowledgeable and helpful. Paths and trails to suit all levels of fitness, including the Ruta del Cares and Naranjo del Bulnes.
