Everything, it was just perfect for a relaxing break. The host was so very welcoming and the peace and the views were amazing. We asked to stay another night but it was booked, obviously! Cannot wait to go back.

Everything was just perfect, as described, clean warm cosy and welcoming. It was immediately obvious that the hosts go out of their way to give guests a perfect overnight stay. Really nice deco too.

Breakfast was self service and accommodated for many different dietary requirements. Cleanliness of the bedroom, bathroom and eating area were of an excellent standard. Bedroom is spacious and very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and certainly value for money.

On arrival, the housekeeper, Chris, came across the road to open up. She was friendly and helpful. Room quiet and bed comfortable. Breakfast is continental but you have the option to cook your own brekkie if required. Pub in the village is a 10 mins walk and is awesome with filling food available; great atmosphere.

We had a fantastic time in Wakefield, the house was perfect with everything we needed, there were great views across the fields and a huge park which was in walking distance. Claire went out of her way to assist us and also very kindly helped return something which i had left. Exceptional service. I would definitely stay in the house again. Thank you.

    Beautiful old cottage, very spacious and clean throughout! The location is perfectly situated near a nice stretch of river in a peaceful small village, friendly locals. Plenty of safe parking right outside. The property owner is very helpful through the messaging service and kind/thoughtful, we really enjoyed our stay.. excellent central Yorkshire location if you have a few places to visit! Leeds/York both approximately 30 minutes from the cottage and supermarkets, fuel stations ect with in a 5 minute drive.
