This is one of the most marvelous places I've ever been. Such a quiet place and extremely charming. The studios are built in a way you have privacy. The room is quite big and has everything you need. The bathroom is so beautiful and has a very nice shower. They use such great elements to make the environment more authentic. I particularly liked the old painted closets and the hammocks outside which made you feel very relaxed considering the view and the concert of the crickets. The pool (with it's view on the surrounding mountains) isn't quite big, but definitely enough for cooling down. The owner is an incredible host! He spoiled us with fresh figs, grapes, pastries. Every morning there's this friendly lady coming to ask if everything is okay and if you need something. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Absolutely loved everything about it! Also, it is an excellent location to explore the west side of Crete!

Amazing, very clean and brand new apartment with everything you need. Only 3 minutes by car from the city center. Two balconies with fly screens on each door. Communication with the host was easy and reliable. We really enjoyed our stay in this brand new building and highly recommend it to travelers looking for a luxury apartment on a budget.

Everything was more than perfect. The owner, Georgios, thought about everything so you would have all the comfort needed. The apartment is small, but big enough to take a rest, after the beach time. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is also. From the resort to the beach is not more than 15 min by walking, but it's normal because the access to the beach is limited . The small terrace in front is really charming, so you can take your morning or afternoon coffee. The owner is a really friendly person. He also recommended a nice restaurant for dinner. We will come back for sure.

    I loved staying at Velanos Villas. My villa was ideally private and the entire stay was relaxing and enjoyable. The pool is clean and refreshing and provides welcome relief in the heat. Jenni is a wonderful host - helpful and friendly but not obtrusive - and it was a pleasure to meet her. Kefali is a lovely village with good walks Just be aware that you will need your own transport if you want to do more than relax and potter in the local area

    What a wonderful place, absolutely stunning views and the villa we stayed in was lovely. A proper get away in the mountains, jenny was waiting for us when we arrived with a bottle of wine and a delicious apple cake. The village is small but the local taverna had excellent food and raki. It's away from crowds of tourists but close to some beautiful beaches. The pool is large and we had it to ourselves most of the time. The drive up there is a bit hairy but I'd perfected it by the second day. We will be back!

    An authentic apartment, in an authentic Cretan village. The host was responsive to all our needs. As Orthodox, we were very happy to be able to go to the nearby church at any time of the day or night. Thanks to the host for all the gifts.

    Clean and spacious apartment in a small, peaceful village in the mountains. The staff were extremely friendly and gave great recommendations for things to do. There’s a restaurant which is open all day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was amazing and great value. Definitely recommending staying here as a base for visiting Elafonisi and other nearby sites.

    FANTASTIC Villas, unique location on the hill makes great views and chilly temperature. 15 min drive to amazing beaches (Kedrodasos is the best!). The Owner is very welcoming and agreed to accommodate us earlier, and advised us on beaches, shops, and restaurants. The Apartments are perfectly equipped, with 3 types of coffee and coffee machines! toaster, everything as at home. We had one lunch in the charming Krystalia Cafe owned by the Velanos Villas Owner Son. I also highly recommend driving there (1 km).

    + very nice owner (Jenny was very nice and friendly, she even let us to check-in before official check-in time) + welcome and goodbye gift (generosity of people in Crete is incredible!) + location (small village with family atmosphere, close to Elafonisi beach - 15-20 minutes by car) + calm and private accommodation (we booked Lito house - 2 adults and 1 small child) + cleanliness + Wi-Fi + pool (it was nice and clean but unfortunately it was quite cold weather so we didn't use it)

    We very much liked the location in the hills away from the tourist hordes; the views; the comfort and coziness of the house including the great fireplace with plenty of timber provided. A great base to explore the west coast of Crete and its beautiful beaches; and then return to the peace and quiet of a hill country village. The house was spotlessly clean and a very nice welcome from Jenny including flowers and a delicious apple cake.
