It is such a beautiful Italian-style hotel. It lies in the hills just outside of Montepulciano. You can get to the centre by car, and still enjoy the quiet surrounding of the hotel. The swimming pool is so relaxing, especially combined with the Nottal Wine. This is Tuscany!

The rooms are lovely with an enormous jacuzzi bath, and the host was extremely attentive providing recommendations for the local area and a fantastic breakfast every morning. La Torre is the highlight of many years of our travels in Italy. We stayed in 5* hotels, cosy agriturismos and everywhere between over the years, but nothing as unique, charming and quite luxurious as this. It is an expertly renovated historical building in the old town part of Torrita de Siena. The materials used are exquisite, the craftsmanship is amazing, the heart and soul of this building is beyond anything I can describe. Our hosts are the most welcoming Tuscan family, the house has its own private cellar stocked with local wines and the family's own olive oil. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need. The kitchen is ready to be cooked in, washing machine, oh and the bed is super comfy and it is sooo quiet to sleep. There is an amazing butcher's shop (must visit!), mini supermarket with amazing fresh local breads and produce, a (nearly 5*) small restaurant all within less then 5 minutes walk from the house. We parked outside of the old town walls every day without problem, 3 minutes walk max. The town is easy car ride from major attractions, thermal spas, wineries while provides you calm and quiet space to return to each day. The roof terrace has sweeping views over the area, it's an oasis to relax and take in your surroundings. We have left with a box of the family's farm produced goods, notably extra virgin olive oil and kilos of the famous aglione of valdichiana (a sweet and delicate giant garlic variety only grown here) which are available to purchase directly from them. If you are in doubt JUST BOOK IT!
