The host Michiyo was the absolute sweetest and kindest lady. She brought my kids to her garden to pick fresh veges and was so warm. The place was beautiful, and made the experience immersive.

The house is gorgeous, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The owner's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. Fabulous property. We felt very welcomed. The space is amazing and private. The onsens are amazing ( inside and outside onsen) and overlook a waterfall. The food was fantastic . We would recommend this place as a great experience

Our stay at Hotel Fuki no Mori was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Everything about the hotel was perfect - Onsen, dinners, breakfast, grounds, and the facilities. We spent three nights there and we did not want to leave!

Staff were wonderful and helpful. The facility was very clean and comfortable. Stayed in the the annex, which I heard just opened last month. It was just across the street. The tea offered added an authentic experience. It was 12 minutes walking distance to the train station, although they still offered shuttle services.

The service was beyond excellent. I cannot commend the staff enough for their kindness and commitment to making sure we were fully taken care of. In particular, the gentleman who speaks English, he made sure to always check in with us / follow through with whatever we needed. I also loved the fact that there are private onsen rooms, AND private indoor / outdoor onsens available for booking (since both of us have tattoos).
