Riswan and his family are so hospitable and proud to introduce you to wonderful Sri Lankan food, traditional life and wildlife. A very peaceful setting next to the river and rice paddy fields. Monkeys played in the tree beside my treehouse, and I could watch fishermen patiently catch fish from my balcony. Everyone is so friendly. I took a nice walk to a wetland area just 15 mins walk and saw birds, monkeys and a mongoose. Riswan will arrange everything for you - meals, transport, food, safari, its all very easy, just let him know what you want. A very special thanks to "Auntie" for her amazing coffee, so no worries if you crave caffeine, strong, black, sweet and delicious.

Great jungle atmosphere, you literally hear only the sounds of jungle while sleeping. The owner Tarique was amazing, helped us with everything and gave us great tips not only for Safari in Wilpattu, but also for travels around Srilanka. Also, the dinner was to die for, the best one we had in Srilanka. The location is perfect, just a short tuktuk drive away from Wilpattu national park.

Fantastic place to stay for so many reasons. The hotel itself feels really like a safari camp with wild animals and birds all around, there are monkeys and squirrels in the gardens. Each room is very private down a small path from the main dining room. The rooms are absolutely huge and wonderfully decorated. They have a large comfortable more-than-double bed and are well equipped with a fridge, air-conditioning and ceiling fan, hot and cold shower, tea and coffee making facilities, towels and robe. The room had huge windows overlooking the forest and its own private terrace and plunge pool perfect for cooling off after a long day. We had a sri lankan style breakfast which was delicious and we ate 2 nights at the hotel. I would highly recommend the seafood bbq, so much yummy food! The hotel is situated perfectly for safari as it is right next to the entrance to the national park so only 2 minutes in the tuktuk to get to the entrance. They packed us breakfast, lunch and snacks. Priyashantha joined us for the day and was fantastic at taking us to the best places to spot the wildlife. He brought along binoculars and books to show us the birds and animals we had seen. The jeep itself has a roof to keep cool in the heat of the day on the full day safari. I would highly recommend the friendly and caring staff, the beautiful peaceful surroundings and the very comfortable rooms.

The host family are absolutely faboulous. A peaceful place for wind down. It is also actually good that it is not situated directly on the beach because it is often very windy.

Luna Laguna is situated in Kalpitiya. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available.

Beautiful place, aesthetically wonderful, luxurious but authentic. Perfectly clean. The 4 young men working there are awesome: very kind, welcoming, helpful, professional. They work hard and they arranged everything we asked :) and we asked a lot :) Food was delicious, we enjoyed a perfect dinner and a gorgeous breakfast. You can walk to the centre (about 20 minutes) and it’s really worth it to go and feel authentic Sri Lanka. In the evening we enjoyed staying on the Lagoon beach, it’s amazing at sunset. I really really recommend. Thanks for your hospitality and I wish all the best to you guys!!

We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)

Everything was amazing. The hosts are really caring people and kindly hearted. More than just staying in a place I felt that I was at home and with family. The place is super quite and surrounded by nature. There are many birds around and the sounds of the frogs at night after a rainy afternoon is wonderful. There is also a nice area for meditation and yoga if is your thing. The room was very clean and confortable and also chilly during the hot afternoon. The common area/dining place is perfect for chilling and enjoying the meals as well, which are super tasty and full of Sri Lankan tastes. There are small shops around where you can get some snacks, fruits, paratha and others.

Susantha makes us feel like we are home, it’s welcoming, great vibes, we had the feeling to be part of a group from the very first day we arrived, so nice ! Food is very good and diverse from one day to another ! Place is close from the spot, no need to describe the lagoon, amazing spot especially for beginners !

A Perfect Start to Our Sri Lanka Adventure – Moni Farmhouse, Wilpattu Our stay at Moni Farmhouse in Wilpattu was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!
