This is a beautiful small property set a few kilometres inland from the bustle of Ahangama amongst the rice paddy fields. The rooms are amazing and at times you feel as though you are there on your own. The staff were also fantastic. There are no shops nearby so if you need anything you will need to arrange a TukTuk (staff can order one for you) to go into town. This didn't bother us as we were looking for a bit of luxury, peace and quiet at the end of our trip. The meals on site were great as well. Would highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful accommodation and it was an absolute joy. The high-speed internet access was a godsend, ensuring I could stay connected and manage my work with ease. The kitchen facilities were well-equipped, allowing me the freedom to prepare my meals just the way I like. An added convenience was the laundry facility, which was particularly useful during my extended stay. One of the highlights was the property’s proximity to the lake, offering stunning views and a sense of tranquility that is hard to find. What made our stay truly special, however, was the lovely couple who own the place. Their warm hospitality and friendly demeanor added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. Their local tips and knowledge were invaluable in making the most of our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-situated accommodation with all the necessary amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s perfect for both short and long stays. Large Villa located near the sea with all the amenities you might need for your stay, including a swimming pool in the garden near the beach and a parking space at the entrance. The house has 3 large bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, beds were comfortable and the rooms had AC as well as fans. Wi-Fi was great and the Villa Manager, as well as the rest of the staff, was friendly and ready to help. You can also ask for a delicious breakfast in the morning, something we would recommend!

Just across the road from Kabalana beach! The room is part of a separate small villa so not very social but it feels like your own home. Having a fridge is a huge bonus for cold drinks etc. There is a nice wall light you can turn off from the bed (a rarity in my experience of Sri Lanka). The hosts are wonderful and welcoming. Breakfast is great and very filling I didn’t really eat lunch whilst I was here.

    Our stay at Happy Stay Villa was absolutely fantastic. As a family of four, including two kids, we couldn’t have wished for a more family-friendly place. The property was very clean and well-kept, with a spacious apartment that provided plenty of room for everyone. The downstairs garden and balcony were perfect for relaxing after a day at the Kabalana beach. The host was exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast, which was provided upon request.
