Mr Norman and her wife were very friendly and their customer service was superb. We felt like we visited our parents. Kids felt like they were in grand parents’ house. Very decent people. This is a 100yrs old Bungalow, very beautiful and well maintained. The garden is very beautiful.

We stayed for 6 days but then extended for another week. We loved our little house above the fields. Every morning it was incredibly interesting to watch the life in the fields. It gets quite cold at night in this place but there are blankets in the apartment. The owner also served us breakfast every morning which was tasty and varied. The actual price was a bit higher than the booking.com listing. The WiFi is very fast but because of this the limit quickly ran out and we had to pay extra. Also the use of gas for cooking costs extra. Otherwise our stay was great!

Nestled amidst the lush greenery, Train View Chalet offers a unique experience of being right next to the railways, allowing you to witness the enchanting sight of trains passing by. The natural setting here is truly a haven of peace and relaxation. It feels like you're living in harmony with nature, making it an ideal spot to unwind and destress. The spacious and comfortable rooms at Train View Chalet are a testament to the thoughtfulness put into every detail. At night, you can fall asleep to the soothing sounds of nature, creating a truly serene atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the delectable food prepared by the talented kitchen staff. What sets Train View Chalet apart is that they make each dish fresh to order. The breakfast offered a wide range of choices, and the portions were generous. We also enjoyed a delightful dinner that left our taste buds craving for more.Train View Chalet in Bandarawela is a hidden paradise for nature enthusiasts and anyone seeking a peaceful escape. With its breathtaking location, comfortable accommodations, wildlife encounters, and outstanding hospitality, it exceeded our expectations in every way. Very nice place with many little nooks and corners with nice couches to relax and read a book. Comfortable bedrooms and breakfast options. We used this as a base to travel to ella by train, The staff are extremely helpful I wanted some steam to inhale, they organised the steam and also offered some herbs to add to the steam. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

AMAZING !!! Best view in Sri Lanka , sit back relax, enjoying your breakfast or dinner overlooking Ella Rock, litte Adams peak and a waterfall perfect !!! Staff all wonderful and friendly, just a short stroll or a tuk tuk ride down into town. Came for one nite stayed 3. Will definitely come back to Ambiente guest house.
