If you look for nature and serenity this is the perfect place to be. The host just was great and most helpful with tipps and any other whishes. He even cleaned our car, as he thought it was too dirty!!! The food just amazing including special whishes. If you want to be out of the main tourist places and find a really beautiful place - go there!

Awesome owner, so friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. It's quite and good to stay a relaxed night before hiking in Hortons Plain. We also had dinner which was delicious and the owner managed our trip to the national park.

WE LOVED EVERYTHING!!! GlenMyu Estate in Nikapotha is truly a home from home in the Sri Lankan forest. The house is an architectural gem taking full advantage of the panoramic view, set in beautiful gardens. On top of this is the warm hospitality of Michael and Ru, for whom nothing is too much trouble. To cap it all, Ru is a superb cook, so staying here is like stepping into simultaneous programmes on dream houses and masterchef. Delightfully relaxing and fulfilling for all the senses. Out of all our four and five star hotel experiences in Sri Lanka this one was the best!

Bambara Ella Agro Resort and Camping Tony and I (from the UK) visited this location, and it is breathtakingly beautiful. Bambarakanda is surrounded by 25-acre hills covered with trees and vines. A stream of clean water flows around the property. There are thousands of birds around, and the area is designed in an environmentally friendly manner. In the center of the paddy field are five naturally arranged cabanas with all amenities. Tree plantations and organic crop fields can be found everywhere. In addition to the cabanas, there is a facility with approximately six modern rooms. The employees are extremely nice, and we will never forget the treats they gave us. We can prepare both local and western dishes as needed. The flavor of the food surprised us. They instantly prepare Sri Lankan dishes such as hoppers and string hoppers. There are no words to express how we were treated by the staff, including Chamara and Sathsara. If you are an environmentalist or a bird watcher, this is the place for you. We had a good time at night with the bonfire and Karaoke music. We had a great time beyond our expectations. A must-visit destination. Highly recommended.

A perfect stay! The family is very kind and hospitable. The room itself is very new, spacious and sparkling clean. Loved the landscape and the rooms. It was built into the surroundings very well incorporating the landscape. Mano and the team were great, they were attentive and eager to help us. Mano was very eager to teach and show us the agro farming and perma culture at the site. Mano is very passionate and it shows in his work. Come here if you want to explore eco friendly farming, nature, and like to relax to the sounds of nature - falling asleep to insects chirping and waking up to bird song.

Beautiful, quiet place to stay with huge rooms and attentive staff. Their food was excellent but we could also walk into town for food there. The owner arranged for a tuktuk to pick us up from Horton Plains after Stage 10 of the Pekoe Trail, making transportation much easier since there’s no signal at the park. He also helped me recover a lost hiking pole from a train station which was a life saver! Highly recommend!
