I would definitely recommend this wonderful homestay in Mulu! It was a warm welcome from James, who grew up in this remote place. Authentic doesn't get any more authentic, I think. He explained to us all the things you can do and what to bring for a perfect experience. With Brenda we had a wonderful tour of the large caves and she gives us all the information about the animals we saw along the way. In the evening they showed us a documentary on a big screen about the history of Mulu and the struggle between the locals and the palm oil industry. It was very interesting! This was the best homestay we've stayed in - Dina was so warm and friendly and really made us feel at home! She knew how to organise excursions and she even showed us some Orang Ulu clothing and dancing :)

We really enjoyed our stay at D’Cave Homestay. Dina, Robert and their friends were very welcoming and staying with them in the evening for dinner together was like feeling at home.
