Jill and her team are wonderful hosts.Very welcoming and care so well for the needs of their guests If you value a spacious, comfy and nicely decorated room in a historical building with quite a story and also like recommendations about what to see in the area- this is the perfect place. We would definetetly come back as we felt well from the first contact.It is also the perfect location for the last stay out of the Catlins moving North or the first going South Thank you so much, Jill, hope to come by again

Wonderful place - will be back. Well fitted out, great environment. Huge room with lots of options built into how different users / groups might use it - from families to friends and solo travellers. Staff were great and so helpful

Guests staying at Catlins Newhaven Holiday Park are a 5-minute walk from Surat Bay, a long sand beach in Newhaven, where you may be lucky enough to see a Hooker Sea Lion.

Everything was lovely and the views from the unit were amazing. Our bedroom was great with a comfortable king bed and great shower/bathroom. Everything was very clean and the hosts were very friendly without being intrusive. We were the only guest so had the common area to ourselves as well and enjoyed the excellent included continental breakfast. Highly recommend The Salty Bushman for your stay in The Catlins.
