What we loved about the camp is that it is made by a few tents and it is on a dune. The place is quiet, clean and offers a great experience. Hilal and his brother are the most exquisite hosts we could ask for - caring and attentive.

We had the most incredible stay with Ali! He was the perfect host, super friendly and we had lovely chats with him! The camp was spectacular, super clean and comfortable and the food, especially the dinner was delicious! Absolutely recommend staying here for a unique and private desert camping experience! We loved it and would definitely come back if in Oman again!

We were reaally glad we booked Moon Light Camp! Easy transfer for 5 OMR one way, arranged a little in advance. Dinner was amazing and well worth the money. When we saw the location of most of the other camps-one next to the other..not really in the desert-you really want to stay at a place a little further away from it all like Moon Light Camp. Thanks for the great stay!!:)

Said, the owner of the camp, send a person to pick me up at Al Wasil village, because I did not have a car. You can reach Al Wasil with shared taxi or Mwasalat Bus. The camp is solar powered, so no noise from generators. He can organize trips in the desert, and to Wadi Bani Khalid. All meals provided are very big portions. The tends are comfortable, and there is a toilet with shower in the camp. The camp is not very far from the village, but it is also close to some dunes you can reach independently with a short walk, to watch the sunrise or sunset. Said is a very precise person, and answered all the questions I needed, before my arrival.

Absolutely stunning location much deeper into the desert than some other camps. The Sultan Private Camp was just us at the foot of a huge dune - the silence, the stars and the setting were just magical. We ate wonderful dinner and breakfast at their main bigger camp - three of us were vegetarian and there was plenty of delicious food for them. Our hosts - all family - were incredibly welcoming, fun with the kids and kind. We had asked for a one hour dune safari which was in fact nearly two hours at sunset going deep into the desert, over incredibly beautiful dunes. Our host found - no idea how - some of their camels so we could see the babies and try fresh camel milk and then on to the top of a dune for a perfectly magical sunset. An unforgettable experience! The following morning we took a short camel ride - the camp could organise much longer treks but we were short on time - my kids loved it! We could not have asked for a better, more perfect experience!

The tents are spotless, incredibly cozy, and come with a balcony that offers breathtaking views of the dunes—waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. A huge shoutout to Idriss, whose energy and enthusiasm made the stay truly exceptional. He took care of everything we needed with such dedication—honestly, the best service I’ve ever received! Idriss also helped us arrange a thrilling dune bashing tour with Ali, which was an adventure I’ll never forget. The ride through the dunes was amazing. I can’t recommend Sunrise Desert Local Private Camp enough. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable desert experience!

Overall experience was so good. Views are just spectacular. Rooms are very cleam and cozy, especially for a camp in desert. Food they provided are tasty as well (I brought my own food which was never used). Staff are very welcoming and truly friendly. Totally worth the money!

The service was exceptional, and everything exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding—delicious in every way. We enjoyed a wonderful picnic during breakfast, which was truly memorable. The night sky was breathtaking, and we had a fantastic time sandboarding on the dunes. Our kids had a blast playing in the sand and trying out sandboarding themselves. Sultan was amazing—he and Benjamin were so friendly and helpful, keeping our kids entertained during the sandboarding. The tent was charming and comfortable, though the separate outdoor toilet was not an issue for us. We also went on a safari game drive to spot camels and sheep with one of the staff (we forgot his name), and the drive through the desert was beautiful. He was very kind to take some photos and videos for us. The pickup from the car to the camp was a fantastic experience as well. Overall, the whole experience was superb!!

Said, Al Farooq and the rest of the team were amazing! We got stuck in the sand dune in our car, trying to find the camp on our own (please don't do this), and both Said and Al Farooq went out of their way to help us out while still giving us an amazing experience at the camp. It was not easy to get the car out to say the least, but Said and Al Farooq never gave up and in the end we got it out! Apart from that the camp is cozy and authentic. The food was very nice! I wish I could give more than 10 stars. Thank you so much!

    Felt like home due to Rashids warm hospitality. It is a unique experience here, food was perfect, we had nice chats and excellent Omani coffee with our habibi. We went with Rashid to a beduin camp, where we got a ride on a camel and a glance on the village and the way they live. Thanks a lot habibi and see you hopefully again !

    Everything was just perfect! The owner is incredibely courteous and funny. Food delicious, additional entertainments above my expectations. There is pick up from the nearest village available so you don't need to have 4W car. 11/10 I deeply recommend this place!

    Perfect location deep in the dunes! Private camp only five tents, not a huge desert hotel like other „camps”. Food made by Bashir was very tasty. Owner recommended us a private jeep trip, we saw many camels, wells, beduin village and a mosque in the heart od the desert.

    The location is ideal because it's not too far in the desert, so the transfer is short, but you still feel like you're in a remote part, and the dunes are beautiful. The children had the time of their life sliding in the dunes over and over, and the food (takeaway from a nearby village was pretty good considering there's nothing to cook there).
