Very comfortable room. Large bathroom with good size walk in shower. 2 single beds in room. Pillows and bed comfortable. Very clean. Wifi good. Aircon good. Tv has plenty of channels. Parking onsite. Restaurant was closed the day I arrived but bar was open for beer and coffee. Almeida is only 6 min easy drive for restaurants.Host very nice and helpful. She has recently taken over management. Nice and quiet being in small village. Breakfast was good.

It was our second stay here. This time it was our base to visit surroundings: passadiços do Mondego (a boardwalk trail along the river Mondego, about 1h driving), historical village of Sortelia and 5 medieval villages of Sabugal. Location: A medieval village (XII century) located about 30km off the motorway. Definitely worth to divert, even for an overnight stop. A quiet, charming place. Hotel: an old building converted into a small hotel carefully finished with stone and wood and decorated with pieces of crochet, hand made by the owner. Room: Large and comfortable, wooden floor and furniture. It was cold at night, but when we came our rooms welcome us with warm, both literally and metaphorically . electric sockets: Available, the sockets near the bed occupied by a lamp lighting: good Bed: comfortable Bathroom: shower cabin large enough, regular electric socket available, heated. Breakfast: Excellent, large selection of food, very good quality and with different Portuguese specialties. Definitely the highlight of our stay. WiFi: strong signal, fast connection. Staff: excellent welcome, we have got a lot of hints about the vicinity. And explanation about strange wooden constructions used for bull fighting in a local style. Parking: free, front of the house.

Breakfast, was very good, so much stuff, great choice, local produce. Very quite location, ( In town). Nice pool area. Nice decor, lots of history. Helped with dinner recommendation and tour bookings.
