The location of Mut Mee is unbeatable. It is right on the Mekong River promenade with no separation wall. You can walk directly from Mut Mee to the riverfront. Its a beautifully landscaped space, with plenty of greenery and sitting spaces in the shade. The architecture is also very rustic and adds to the laid back vibe of the place. They have a great menu list and an active kitchen which can cook up a hearty meal at short notice. The English speaking skill of the staff and management is very good, which is rare in this part of Thailand. They can also arrange motorbike rentals in you want to visit Sala Keow (7kms), explore the countryside along the Mekong River (recommended), or visit Phu Phrabat Historical Park (which I did), an underrated gem. The riverside promenade is worth exploring for its markets and eating places.

The bungalows are spacious and well-equiped. Everything is new and clean. Tastefull modern/rustic design. By far the best place where I've stayed in Thailand in this price-range. Very friendly host. I will definetly come again when I'm in the area.

I loved the feel of this place. Very large room on ground floor that had double & single beds, large fridge, table and chairs and small kitchenette area. Very clean, airy room with windows that opened. Nice gardens, very friendly owners and excellent location-could walk easily to river/promenade/markets. Although no breakfast 7/11 at end of lane. Wifi excellent.

The facilities are excellent. Very well equipped. Excellent AC, water pressure great and hot water. But the highlight for me was meeting the host Nick. You could not wish to have a more helpful person as your host. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He arranged food for us as we arrived. He took us on a sight seeing trip. He gave advice on getting to Laos, telephones while we were there, helped filling in forms and he took my family to the bridge to cross into Laos. We enjoyed the stay so much we stayed another night on our return and Nick collected my family from the bridge. I cycled to Laos.
