The place is run by a family. The son helped us carry our luggages to the 2nd floor. The place has no elevator. Our room is huge with all the basic amenities. It's got a great view from the patio. On clear days one can view the sun rise there. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. It's about a 10 min drive from the Tai Ping sky ladder. There are no resturants close by, so grab your bento from the Tai Ping old street. Highly recommended.

In my 8 years of travelling to Taiwan, this by far has had to have been the best accommodations we have ever stayed at. Upon arrival, we were greeted at our car and immediately felt welcomed. After checking in, we were invited to have tea with the host that evening. We booked 3 king rooms and everyone was pleased with the cleanliness, the comfort of the beds and in-room amenities. We stayed for 2 nights and both mornings breakfast was exceptional and the host interacted with us making us feel as if we were at home. They recommended places to eat and sites to see during our stay and we were far from disappointed.We highly recommend that anyone that is planing to visit Xitou Taiwan to stay at this B&B, for both its accommodations and its proximity to the National Parks and other sites nearby.

Both the room and the entire property are extremely clean. The property is surrounded by tea fields, there are many paths which go through them. The owner is extremely kind and friendly, he offered us a tasting of their own tea that their grow and roast. Breakfast is freshly cooked, delicious and light. Dinner is not provided but you can bring your own food and there is a common fridge and a table where to eat it (but no dishes nor microwave). Great WiFi as well. The owner can pick you up and bring you back to the nearest bus station.

Alishan B&B YunMinGi has an one-level traditional lovely Taiwanese house and a beautiful contemporary 5-story building, both are connected by a short walkway.

We had a wonderful two-night stay! The staff were incredibly caring, proactive, and spoke excellent English. Communication was smooth – they reached out in advance to offer a transfer for an extra fee, asked if we needed dinner, and even sent a map. The location is up in the mountains, about a 40-minute walk from the bus stop, but right by all the famous trails that people come to Alishan for. It's remote but stunningly beautiful. Our room had large panoramic windows, a balcony, and access to the rooftop. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. One day we had sunny weather, and the next it rained and was misty – both created a very special atmosphere. Thank you and highly recommend!

Exceptional stay, probably one of my favourite places I’ve stayed anywhere in the world. Details are very thoughtfully considered and there is a high attention to cleanliness and health. The provided breakfast is excellent- very local with many choices and with delicious fruit. The staff went above and beyond helping me to find dinner, checking in about my stay, driving me to the bus stop, etc. A truly outstanding property well worth a visit. There are numerous hiking trails and small shops in the village. A great place to spend a few days. The views everywhere are great. If you’re a fan of tea, this is also a good place to experience some high quality locally grown and picked tea. If you’re on a flexible schedule, consider coming on a weekday when it’s much less busy- however, there are also fewer transportation options on weekdays and some shops may be closed.

the owners are super nice and heartwarming! they grow their own tea and always invite us to drink tea whenever they meet us at the lobby. They even offer to drive us to the restaurant after we finish the hike. Big thumbs up!

Absolutely great views! Located in a small village, surrounded by mountains, fresh air and farm noises; nice hotel prior to mountaineering. Beds were comfortable, shower was hot and powerful, breakfast was great, host is very friendly. There's no AC in the room, but at night it got quite chilly so there was no need (May). Definitely no soundproofing and rooster signing at night, but earplugs were provided by host and served us well. I would recommend for someone who is going hiking or wants to experience smaller towns live in Taiwan
