I stayed in a private bungalow that was large, modern with hardwood floors and a big clean modern bathroom. Balcony right on the lake so the view was amazing. The staff were helpful and the whole place was mellow, relaxing and friendly and they had created an atmosphere where the guests talked and enjoyed each others company. Sunset boat tours of the lake are offered by the owner. The meals were excellent, easily as good as restaurant quality and plenty of it. Fresh fish from the lake, a selection of grilled meat, plenty of vegetables form their own farm including brocolli, carrots potatoes, corn etc etc etc. Google Maps shows the location away form the lake but the water level was good and it is lakefront.

The owner was amazing. He was very nice and offered us homemade rice wine, which he also drank with us. This is what a real customer service looks like.

Honestly staying here was the best spontaneous choice I made. I was greeted nicely after a long journey by Nam who speaks very good English. The dormitory is great, simple traditional homestay with a bed and mosquito net, plus phone charger and fan! In the evening he invited me for food with his family and he catered for me being vegetarian :) we ate well, and we drank A LOT (optional) of traditional rice whiskey which was a great time. Overall a great place made my trip to ha giang worth it. I didn't explore the nature but it looks amazing

Tuyen Quang is a great city to visit, but what really made my experience great was booking at this homestay. The house is really new and modern so money is really worth it. The owner and the staffs are well trained and professional they will help you whatever you need. The owner speaks English as well so it’s easy for a foreigner to stay in. It is also a convenient place because it is near the market shopping centre restaurant and so on.
