Edmond and his family were the perfect hosts. The guest house is located close to the bazaar and castle. The room is great with fabulous views over the town. The breakfast is outstanding, located on the top deck, views everywhere and with plenty of homemade food and lots of variety. You can also have dinner at the guesthouse. Beautifully cooked authentic Albanian food. Edmond was our guide for a day taking us hiking to waterfalls and gorges. We highly recommend this place to stay.

The house is charming and very well cared for, and the rooms are nicely decorated, squeaky clean, and spacious. Very lovely family, friendly and attentive to your every need. In the morning we were treated to a great breakfast, with eggs, fruits, and local dishes, juice, tea, coffee included. Not to mention the nice view from the terrace where the breakfast is served. It is a pity we stayed only for 1 night, I would love to stay longer. The location is great if you are a pedestrian and a bit of a nightmare if you are driving a car. Getting there on narrow steep brick roads was a challenge, but when we got stuck, they came to our help, leading us through the street labyrinth. It is a short walk uphill to the castle, while the bazaar and restaurants are just around the corner.

Kids got plenty of attention, didn’t want to leave this place! There are two traditional restaurants in walking distance from Wild River-equally welcoming, tasty and value for money We took a walk to the mighty Vjosa river, a friendly shepherd gave us some directions, what a magical spot! Permet is a short drive away and certainly worth visiting! We made the most of the thermal springs and unspoilt views, it was such a treat to immerse ourselves in al this and then return to rest up so well at Wild River guest house!

Hotel is on perfect location, in the heart od Gjirokaster. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Host was very kind and frendly. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Our incredibly kind host took me through all the family history linked to the property. The furniture in the apartment is fascinating and it felt like taking a step back in time to stay there. It is a very spacious place to stay too. Access to the old bazaar is mere minutes. The view from the back door of the mountains is wonderful and as it was summer when we stayed the wonderful breeze that blew through the property when you opened the back door was a welcome feeling. If you want a unique stay look no further than here.
