From the Rifugio you have hikes within a half hour drive ( Grey Lake and the glacier (Boat to the gkacier was fantastic). Hike to Cuernos de Paine id must anf aldo hal hour drive. For the most scenic hike to Bas de Torres you will leave early because 1.5 hours drive to starting point. But worthwile and very demanding! Took us about 7 hours with 2 brakes.
