Very kind owners who go above and beyond for their clients. Lovely room with rice terrace view, nicely decorated. Comfortable. Everything worked well. The food at the restaurant was delicious and I saw no need to eat anywhere else. Very convenient location - near the Ping'an parking lot so you don't have to go far with your luggage. In any case, the hotel will help bring your luggage to the hotel (a short distance away). Near some very beautiful viewpoints of the rice terraces. After travelling from Beijing and doing a long hike on the Great Wall my 2 nieces and myself were looking for a few days of relaxation and a chance to re-charge before heading to the bustling city of Shanghai. The Yangshuo River Lodge met all our needs and more! The building itself is really lovely, lots of intricately carved wood that makes you feel like you are staying in a very grand old imperial hotel without feeling too high brow or stuffy, but the rooms and amenities are very modern and done with taste and contemporary design - from the fixtures in the bathroom to the ornate windows, everything is perfectly designed, with comfortable beds and lots of space in the rooms and lovely balconies with table and chairs for sitting in the evenings and enjoying the surrounding karst mountains, which have to be seen to be believed! The locale of this hotel is perfect, just far enough out of town to be peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are spotlessly clean and fresh towels provided every day, and plenty of hot water in the shower. The hotel sent a van to pick us up as we got off the boat from Guilin, which makes it very easy to get to the hotel, however we found that in the following days of exploration we were close enough to Yangshuo that we could easily ride the free bicycles provided by the hotel, or walk into town (about a 30 minute walk). And after long days of riding around the countryside, coming back to the pool was a highlight. The pool is very well maintained and looks out over gardens to the river, and was never crowded. The hotel has a kitchen and bar and we really enjoyed the meals we had at the hotel, and this being with someone who lives in Shanghai and has really embraced Chinese cuisine! The staff are truly one of the best things about this hotel, thank you to Jenny and staff, they speak excellent English and are so kind and helpful with any travel or tour info you might need.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We loved the location, such a beautiful place. The family suite was great for the 5 of us, and being able to take bikes around was great. The food was excellent, and we can't wait to stay again one day!

This hotel is amazing in every way. The location is perfect as it is only a short drive to the main town with plenty of shops and restaurants (West Street) and can be reached easily by using DiDi or the hotel will help you but it is on a quiet road opposite the river with hiking/biking paths. Along these paths are numerous little pop up coffee shops, including 2 right opposite the hotel. The hotel has bikes you can hire. The staff went over and above to make our stay perfect. They are all so friendly and helpful and really care about their guests. Suzy and the rest of the staff arranged tickets and drivers to Xing Ping Ancient town, the Sanjie Liu Night Show and Ruyi Peak Cable Car. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and the beds extremely comfortable, they even had electric blankets. The views from the rooms are just incredible. This hotel was absolutely perfect for our trip and I can’t wait to come back.

I am from Arizona United States and i came to San Jiang with my 24 year old son hoping to expose him to the local culture and people. I absolutely loved the experience of staying in the heart of a local minority village! The Lost World building is a solid wood 3 story structure that has been completed remodeled with modern comforts (beds showers and amenities ) while maintaining the original architecture integrity and beauty! The people are so nice and welcoming and the village people (young and old) dressed in their traditional clothes and put on a wonderful performance for all tourists. There are no cars in the village except at the entrance so we just walked around and took in the beautiful scenery. Also I am very impressed how clean the restrooms are and the villages are as the local people are sweeping constantly! A special praise to the owner Wei and his staff they made sure we had western style breakfast and also cooked us a delicious dinner with a variety of local fresh vegetables and meats. We walked through several villages full of small shops and the nicely paved country paths along the river. Absolutely picture perfect green farm fields and mountains and I feel like I am indeed in a beautiful lost world! So glad we stay here and will love to come back again and stay longer next time!
