The room was actually a small apartment, almost brand new, in excellent condition, quiet, clean and comfortable. It is difficult to find something better for this price. Breakfast was nice with a variety of options. Staff was very helpful and friendly. As far as it concerns the location: Hotel is not in the city canter and this is known from the beginning. It is easily accessible from the highways and you do not mess with the traffic jam of Munich. It offers cheap private parking even for EVs. To reach the city centre you need to walk 10 minutes in a safe residential area to the closest metro station. From there you can go anywhere using Munich's excellent underground network.

The Hotel Föhrenhof is situated in a peaceful area on the edge of a forest in Farchant, just 3 km from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Lovely staff. We had a warm welcome in the early afternoon with a Schnitzel sandwich. Room was extremely spacious and had a lovely view on the mountains. Beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean. The breakfast was great as well: eggs, yoghurt, quark and many different kinds of bread, fruit, meat and vegetables.
