We could not have wished for a better stay at the end of our vacation. Alexia and Adrien were wonderfully warm and kind hosts, who make guests feel at home. We loved the very generous and relaxing breakfast each morning around the large dining table, chatting with other guests (there were also a couple of smaller tables available). We also made use of a very comfortable guest lounge, with guides and other books. The chateau, furnishings and design are stunning! Our bedroom (and adjoining bathroom) was one of the best we have stayed in, with a very comfortable bed. We were also encouraged to share the large and beautiful garden, where we had a welcome drink from Alexia. The chateau is very well located for travel to/from Calais, and there is plenty to do in the area. We particularly enjoyed visiting Le Touquet. Excellent suggestions for restaurants from Alexia. Initially, we were supposed to arrive between 8 and 11 PM. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, our new estimated arrival time was 11:50 PM, but we actually arrived at 1 AM. Fatima was extremely flexible and welcoming; the fact that she welcomed us at 1 in the morning was astonishing. Since we were leaving early in the morning (6:30 AM), she kindly put together some ingredients for us to make breakfast, which was another pleasant surprise. The location is crystal clear and smells great. There’s a lovely small terrace, and the bed is very comfortable. We were four (parents plus two children), so the sofa bed was very useful (by the way, the sofa bed was prepared by the time we arrived). The bathroom is very cozy. There were also a variety of coffee and tea options available. For parking, there are multiple free options right in front of the establishment - we barely walked five meters. The neighborhood is quiet. There’s absolutely nothing I could suggest for improvement. We will definitely be back.
