Engure is a small fishing village, so it's pretty quiet there and beaches are not over-crowded.

Would stay again for longer. The only nuance to consider is the location. While the flat is a 2-min walk from the sea and the cafe claster, and also quite close to the main Saulkrasti station, you'll need to take a train to get to the famous White dune or take a 40-min long walk one way through the whole town. But this is just the specifics of Latvian seaside towns - they are so narrowly stretched that you simply can't be close to everywhere. I also met the owner who was a lovely and friendly lady. The flat had a wide selection of tea and coffee as well as some delicious sweets - I loved every second of my stay.
