This is run like a mini resort, maybe 12 rooms; comfortable and well looked after, very nice beds and bedding, nicely landscaped, attentive staff, excellent location, probably the best all around stay that I found in my 5 island "tour" for the purpose of snorkeling and relaxing. The hotel has a very nice beach area with a few lounges and the "bikini beach" is a very short walk down the beach road, it is in a beautiful area with excellent swimming and some snorkeling (you have to look for it out from the hotel dining/lounging area, beyond where the boat is anchored and around the white buoy. Ask the owner/manager) . There are bicycles to rent

Breakfast is different every day, but without choice unfortunately. Dinners à la carte is delicious! generaly it feels that the owners manage the guesthouse very skillfully, everything works literally like a Swiss watch:),everything is perfectly arranged and in time! big thanks for ur welcoming us!

Dhoani Guesthouse is a fantastic accommodation, on an beautiful island. The staff is exceptional, they were friendly, open to any questions, helped us to get around, arranged our transport and took care of us. Plenty of interesting activities to chose from, all arranged by the Guesthouse. Both breakfast and dinner were extremely delicious, multiple options available. The locals on the island are kind and welcoming, everyone says hi when passing by. Our stay was simply perfect!

Je recommande sans hésiter. Il a toujours été la pour accomplir nos demandes. Il propose pas mal d’activités. Et si les activités que l’ont veux faire ne sont pas proposés il trouve toujours une solution pour qu’on puisse réaliser l’activité souhaitée.

As we arrived we felt very welcome and also during our stay the staff is always happy to have a chat. The excursions are the best part. Also dinner on the beach, candle light, no music just the sound of the ocean: truly unforgettable. The food is also very good.

L’établissement MOONSHELL RESIDENCE se situe à Atoll de Baa, à quelques pas de ce lieu d’intérêt : Bikini Beach. A wonderful holiday in a wonderful place. Maalhos is a very cozy and cute island. Even though it was small, there was always something to do. The island has a kindergarten, school, hospital, mosque, several cafes, grocery stores and a souvenir shop. The locals are very friendly and smiling, it was interesting to observe their way of life. We really enjoyed our holiday at Moonshell Residence, it is a beautiful, modern hotel. Waheed, the owner of the hotel, took care of our transfer from the airport to the hotel. From the airport we were taken by taxi to Male, and then we took a fast boat all the way to Maalhos Island. Waheed greeted us very hospitably, offering us fresh chilled coconuts and cold towels, which was very nice after the journey, and in the meantime our luggage was delivered to our room. About the room itself - we got a room with a balcony. The room was very spacious, had everything you needed, I really liked the comfortable large bed, the bathroom was also large and comfortable. There were also different light sources in the room, which created coziness. The room's air conditioning system is well thought out - there is an air conditioner and a ceiling fan, thanks to which you can cool the room very quickly. In addition, we really liked the cleaning, it was very high quality, after cleaning the room smelled of aromatic oils. On the first day, Waheed gave us a tour of the island and showed us everything. On the second floor of the hotel there is an excellent restaurant “Rooftop by Moonshell“. All the food was very tasty, the restaurant staff were lovely and genuinely hospitable. We always placed incense sticks to repellent mosquitoes near the table. Waheed did a great job planning all the activities for his guests, he also taught my wife how to snorkel and accompanied me while snorkeling. Then we swam to different locations, looked at sharks, turtles and manta rays. We also booked a romantic dinner on the beach, it was magical!

The family owners have put so much care into every detail, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Service was outstanding—every request was handled with kindness and efficiency. The owners even gave us a free tour around the island, sharing insights about local life. They were always friendly, supportive, and happy to chat. Overall, an excellent experience with exceptional hospitality. We would gladly return!
