The warm hospitality and exceptional meals make staying here an easy choice. We especially enjoyed dining with other guests. Despite the language barrier, we connected with the French ladies at our table, with host Patrick kindly translating. It was a delightful surprise to have such an authentic French experience in Tunisia. Writing in the guest book with ink for the first time made it even more special. Staying here is worth it for the dinner alone—the most delicious way to taste camel meat and dates!

Staying here was an incredible experience. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, down to the last detail and extremely clean and comfortable. At night in the courtyard you look up and feel you are in a bowl of stars. We even saw shooting stars!! It was so special. The owner went above and beyond for us. Tunisia is so easy to get around by louage (8 person shared taxi/bus). But as the hotel is in the dessert it is a bit hard to get to as the buses don't go here. The owner came for us himself to pick us up in Gabes, the closest major city! He was extremely responsive and with messaging on booking.com/whatsapp this was easy to organize! Many people don't drink in Tunisia, but as a tourist the owner was very helpful and offered to us to procure wine/drinks if we would like (which we very much enjoyed!). He also taught me the local card game "chkobba" which I had seen someone playing in a cafe in Tunis. He was a great teacher and so kind of him to do this for me! It made the evening so special. The food was fabulous as well! This is a stunning hotel that has been visited by diplomats from Canada, America and many other places, and when you go you can see why they came. 5 stars!

A recently renovated holiday home set in Gabès, Dar almasyaf, maison bord de mer features a garden. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The accommodation offers private check-in and check-out and a minimarket for guests. The host was very responsive and extremely kind in wanting to make sure we were comfortable. The house is lovely and exactly as described in the photo. We also found fruit and water upon arrival. The location was very quiet and close to the sea and had everything we needed. I highly recommend it for a stay in Gabes.
