Henry and staff were so helpful, Henry booked a great day tour to Lan Ha Bay for us including transport to and from the harbour (very much recommended!). He also booked our ongoing trip to Sa Pa for us. The restaurant provided good food (great mango smoothie!) and the poolside was very relaxing. Lovely atmosphere at night with all the lights. You can eat outside in the garden (to avoid mosquitoes the best time is 7.30 pm omward).

The village itself is nice plus there are several options for day trips. Make sure you wander inside the natural park for some wild nature experience. Food options are slightly limited. Outside of the main season is actually still a high season for local tourists but you will only meet them during the day and the village remains very quiet overnight (well besides animal noises 😁).

Vietnam is a noisy country with all the karaoke and the use of the claxon in traffic. But this place is quiet and we loved it. It’s a few hundred meters from the main road on a dead end street. There are only 3 rooms, so you will never sleep there with a noisy tour group. The room is spatious and the quality of the bed etc is good. The bathroom and the WiFi are also good. The owner can book tours, bus tickets, taxis, motor rental etc for you, she is very helpfull and friendly.

She put us on the boating trip very late. She took care of our return to Hanoi. She made wonderful breakfast. And she made recommendations on places to see. It was great to be hosted by Thanh.

We booked the Lan Ha Bay tour with him, which we can highly recommend. He also booked us the onward journey to Cao Bang and made us tea while we were waiting for the bus. A truly attentive and very hospitable host. We would definitely come back again!
