From I arrived to I left I felt almost at home, so cozy, relaxed and pure "hygge" Gohar, her husband (who makes good vodka) and three daughters were super friendly and really nice people The home cooked dinner and home made wine were so good, and when one of the daughters played guitar and song traditional Amerian songs I were sold I will be proud if my picture will be on the wall 😎

This cozy guesthouse was one of our stops during our road trip through Armenia, right in the heart of one of the country’s famous wine regions. We chose it for its excellent location, comfortable facilities, and promise of a homemade breakfast — and it didn’t disappoint. As a wine lover, I was especially excited to explore this area and taste some delicious Armenian wines. We planned our stay here to celebrate my birthday, and everything turned out just right. The setting was lovely, the room was spacious and clean, and everything matched the description in the listing. The homemade breakfast was fresh and satisfying — the perfect way to start the day. Parking was also easy and available right outside the property, which was very convenient during our road trip. We’re grateful for the peaceful atmosphere and the warm welcome we received. We went to Areni for the wine festival, and had the pleasure of staying here! Amazing family, Martin was extremely nice and helpful and his father gave us a tasting of the wines they make! The location is great, next to a market and an atm. The terrace is also amazing!

The hosts are a husband and wife team that treat you like family the moment you walk through the door. They gave us a full tour of their property, answered many of our questions related to Armenia's history, and even gave us a free bottle of their homemade wine made from the famous Areni grape before we left. Also.. did I mention the location?? The view from our bedroom would have made you think we were in Sedona, except even better it was Armenia! The hotel was right on a beautiful river situated below a huge and gorgeous cliff, it was our own little corner of paradise. The hotel was also situated close to other wineries, restaurants, etc. (one of which we had a private cooking class with!). Lastly, the room itself was super clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room let in great light along with a balcony that allowed us to sit out and enjoy our coffee in the morning while looking out to the river and cliffs. They even had a gym if you wanted to work out! This is definitely where we will be staying when we come back!

Mariam was the star of this stay. A wonderful host that shared so much precious insight on Armenian culture, history and traditions. We chatted forever! The property is secluded and quiet which is exactly what we needed. There are a couple of rough patches driving up and the last few meters before the property is a dirt road but don’t let anyone scare you because it’s very easy to reach even with a very low clearance car as our rental. The food prepared for us for both dinner and breakfast was simply amazing. Tasty and earthy and home grown. Too bad we stayed only one night.

The house is modern, very nice. Room was comfortable, clean and tidy. The guests could use shared kitchen and a large living room. Nice view from the terrace. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was gorgeous. We were recommended to have dinner at "gastrohouse", which was a great experience. Location is excellent, just a few kilometers from Noravank. Could recommend.
