We can highly recommend this place. New, stylish and with lots of comfort. We just stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. The lake and mountains surrounding the house is magnificent! A dreamy place. And a perfect beach by the lake. Great hosts that welcomed us and helps with everything.

House is very home-like and clean. Host was an absolute gentleman, very friendly and breakfast was lovely. I also got extra lunch which wasn't even in the actual price. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone that's passing through this part of Austria whether it's a business trip or just a leasure trip. Excellent place to stay in Tirol. Well located, clean and cosy, rooms renovated very recently. They managed to combine modern and traditional aspects, and the place is really cosy. There is also a restaurant, so in the evening you can eat there. Friendly staff.

Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant. We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect
