Quiet and atmospheric this is a perfect place for those who appreciate tradition, culture and historic heritage. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Service is impeccable. Rooms are charming and unique. The on-site restaurant is one of the very best in Neuchâtel. Every need we had was met far and beyond what was requested. We will definitely come back again. If you demand a hectic hotel with a spa, a pool, a conference hall and hundreds of busy travelers nearby, then this is not a place for you, but you can get this experience anywhere. However, if you are of a type that appreciates history, subtle details, architectural nuances, and everything that is generally encompassed by one word - "l'ambiance", then Hôtel La Maison du Prussien is definitely a place for you. + comfortable spacious apartment (we were 2 families - 4 adults and 4 kids) + beautiful view + good connection to bus and train (you get the Neuchatel card which gets you free transport and also some activities) + nice location in Hauterive - close to the beaches/playgrounds and some restaurants - great spot for leisure + very nice and flexible owners

I was welcomed by the huge smile and the kind face of Mrs. Mary. She had prepared a cold tea for me, and she even offered me fresh fruits! The accommodation is a beautiful, renovated house in the old town, magnificently decorated by the owner. The room is spacious, comfortable with a big window overviewing the countryside. It was very relaxing to take my breakfast or decompress at night at the cozy balcony of the house. The place is ideal for calm and relaxing holidays. The owner is a warm host with multiple talents, and I am sure she will amaze you with her artistic skills and creations, too. I definitely recommend it!

Everything, a lovely house well connected by bus (120/122) and tram (101). Great accommodating host Tom who answered all our questions and helped us with anything we required. We had two bookings. A great large house on the first floor and another on the third floor. The house is clean, well equipped with most everything. Two large bed rooms a drawing room with dining facilities as well as a small study room. Well equipped kitchen with a seating area. The supermarket is about 200 meters as is the tram station. The bus station is 350 meters away. We stayed for five nights. The best place we have ever stayed in. Switzerland and this was our 5th visit. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend Tom and his beautiful house.
