This hostel really surprised me, it was absolutely amazing! My room was comfortable and clean, with some details that I really appreciated - like laundry detergent for hand washing. However, the best thing was the community rooms. I really liked the greenery, the terrace, bar and more - it was a perfect place to relax. Also, the location is great, one can walk to the Daguan park within 30min (or take a bus).

The staff were very nice and it was quite a professional operation, quite clean too. I initially booked because of its convenience near the south station, but then came back so I could explore the south side of the city which was very nice as well. There’s a bit of a very small street food scene nearby which is nice.

Wonderful stay – amazing staff! We had a great experience at Atour Light Dongfeng Hotel in Kunming. Special thanks to the two staff at check-in – they were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. The check-out team was also friendly and efficient. Rooo was perfect. The whole staff really made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

Booked the place for 1 night, but flight got delayed and we check in for 2 hours only at 3am. The staff was so helpful and polite. The room is clean and not dusty Toiletries and towel provided. Body wash is good The male staff was so kind to book taxi for us early in the morning to the train station.

I had a fantastic stay! The property itself was comfortable and well-kept, but what truly stood out was the staff. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile—whether it was arranging transportation, giving local tips, or making sure my room was perfect. It felt like they genuinely cared about making my stay special.The owner is also a crystal specialist—don’t miss the chance to meet her and maybe get a little extra good luck! The service staff from the door to the counter desk to be room service to the breakfast table are all impeccable and knowledgeable. Love the details inside of the hotel room. The room is spacious and with a very comfortable bed. But if you intend to add another bed, it might be quite challenging. It does come with a day bed near the window. Just request an extra pillow and blanket. This hotel is next to a big shopping mall with all the high-end shops.
