The staff of the hotel was really nice (especially Carlos) and helpful. Food in the restaurant is very tasty, there is beautiful view on the volcano. Good localisation also. I really recommend this hotel.

Time really stands still in this beautiful oasis on a hill. We absolutely loved our 5 night stay with Lusbeth, Alfredo, and family in the rustic cabins surrounded by their beautiful gardens. A generous, delicious, homemade breakfast was included. There was even home made passionfruit jam and fresh juice from their own fruits. There were many colourful birds, including toucans. They gave us a free night tour of their garden to see the frogs and other critters. They helped us organize activities and were genuinely kind. Our cabin was clean and comfortable with enough beds for 5 people. The kitchenette was a welcome addition so we could cook our own meals. I recommend supporting this local family by staying with them when you visit the Bijagua area and Volcanoes Tenorio and Miravalles. Our stay was an exceptional experience. Roger and Rose were super kind and helpful giving ideas for places to visit, where to eat etc. One of the highlights was the breakfast, every day with fresh fruit juice and varied costarican food. Malekus is located in a stunning location surrounded by nature at its best. Definitively highly recommendable!!

Super nice check in. Great English and we could pay by card. We even got a night tour trough the gardens! Saw several different frogs and a fluorescent caterpillar. Room was spacious and just perfect. Breakfast in the morning was nice. The juga natural was very tasty.

It was the best stay (sofar) on my costa rica holiday. I was really blown away. Super nice Bungalow, with all you need: comfy bed, coach, kitchen and great terasse with hammocks. Lovely and cosy. The breakfast was very good and Angie who is working there showed me a lot of birds and sloths The tour about the plants groeing at their property was also great. The weather was not great but I enjoyed bird watching directly from my terasse

It was absolutely stunning! Everything was just perfect. Stunning Lodge with a beautiful view, perfect spot to relax. Everyone was really nice and the food was just outstanding. One of the best places I've ever seen - without any doubt!
