The place was amazing, we loved being immersed in nature. The host was absolutely fantastic (provided lots of additional information ahead of time and was very friendly and helpful on site) plus her food was super delicious. We booked a tour with Simone and had the best time (saw lots of animals, great explanations, lovely picnic and tons of fun)!

Our stay at this apartment was absolutely wonderful! The place was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and perfectly equipped with all the amenities we needed. The location was ideal, conveniently close to the ferry dock. Our host, Adriana, warmly welcomed us and went above and beyond with her kindness and attention, even helping us resolve an issue with our laundry. Sabalo Lodge was the best place we stayed in CR. The area is huge, you can fully enjoy the privacy and the jungle with all what it brings. You will see plenty of animals in the lodge itself, on top of it there is a private trail to explore. Anouk and Kevin are amazing hosts, they will make sure your dreams will become true! The lodge is in the middle of the jungle and I strongly suggest to explore all what it has to offer from various nearby activities and wider area to amazing cuisine made of the local products by Kevin and Esmeralda who discovered an art in mixing French and Costa Rican tastes! Highly recommend not to miss this place as rare and precious!

Lovely little cabin to myself right on a little stream with so much wildlife to observe while chling out in a hammock on the second story balcony. The family invited me into their home, treated me like part of the family and cooked me 2 amazing meals.

Absolutely best value for price. Got 2 double and one single bed plus a private bathroom and a small entrance with a hammock, table and chairs. Conveniently located in the city but very quiet as it’s located downstairs. There is plenty of shade and at night AC sometimes is not necessary! Plenty of animals around as well

The people Who own it are wonderful, the place has beautiful views and is quiet and the breakfast is just a MUST you have to do before going touring. The were extremely nice in providing breakfast even at 5:30am! Definitely recommend it and would love to go back again!

We took some break from Van Life and this was perfect since you can either camp or have an AC Room. We had the AC Room. WIFI like everywhere, is via Starlink and it works well. We enjoyed the stay 🙂
