Great hostel! Very clean and has a very comfortable and spacious common area (with an air hockey table), and a nice garden. Friendly and helpful staff. The dorm beds have curtains for privacy. Close to city center. Really good breakfast, and you can also get homemade ramen for lunch or dinner (really good ramen, and it could be useful if you don't wanna go out to the streets of San Jose after dark). There were lots of nice backpackers at the hostel. I really enjoyed my stay there : )

We were absolutely amazed by this property, which has a spirit of the old times, large rooms with large windows, tastefully decorated with period furniture, but all very comfortable, shining and spotlessly clean. The hosts very welcoming, nice, even knew where the Czech Republic is and that it used to be part of Czechoslovakia!!! Bravo!!! The place is coveniently located for trips to Volcán Poás and beautiful La Paz Waterfull Gardens. We simply loved it.

    Spacious room Valerie was a wonderful host who was able to recommend to us a beautiful and secluded off-the-radar walk into the nearby national park, and also had delicious coffee in stock of which we were able to buy two packs Very convenient location for exploring the Toucan rescue centre & Braulio Carillo national park
