The Pension Johanna was small and quaint right opposite the river. The room was a good size with a little balcony. It was clean, and had a fan (which was needed in the hot weather!). The host was lovely and the continental breakfast was a good start to the day. 😊

The house is an excellent place to stay - a large, airy home which is brilliantly equipped. The garden is really pretty and has far reaching views, and comfortable outside seating. Parking is a short walk away in an allocated space. We wished we could stay longer. All messages were responded to quickly.

Florian met us upon arrival to hand over the keys, invite us to share his garden and relax there if we wanted too which was so lovely. The guesthouse was gorgeous and far exceeded expectations, with a nice sofa room and perfect kitchen. Everything was incredibly clean, great location along the Rhein for those walking it like ourselves and a short walk to Rewe for food (but Florian also provided snacks/ pizza for a small price if you wanted to save the walk). We really loved it here - such a special guesthouse along a beautiful area of Germany. The town too was very ideallic. Thank you so much for having us.

    A most stunning location overlooking the Rhein. Perfect for a few days in this part of the Rhein Gorge. Rooms are exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean with breakfast taken on the Terrace during the warm weather. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. There was an unlimited choice for breakfast and good herty German meals served during the evening. Assmanshausen is a lovely village with some good walking country through the vineyards. A real treat to stay here!

    Went there with my parents for two days, excellent location, very comfortable hotel, rooms have great view and very clean, staff and owners make you feel as if you were regulars there, we felt very comfortable, and would definetly go back there
