Beautifully refurbished property in the small village of Obernzell, just out of Passau. Spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and a small, well equipped kitchen for self catering. Absolutely glorious view, overlooking the Danube, from the balcony. You simply cannot go past this for an authentic experience in the German countryside. We ate at the hotel Donaublick, just next door, which had the same spectacular view.

The host is really friendly and helpful! we arrived in the late night and the host waited for us and came pick us up at the front door. She was so lovely and introduced the rooms and the facilities. The breakfast was very nice as well. a great selection of the food. The environment is very family friendly and the garden for kids is an asset! This is certainly an unforgettable experience!     Large spotless room, good food, friendly service, nice outside terrace for dining.. Care : we arrived on Saturday to start bike ride along Donau. Restaurant was very quiet on Saturday evening but we returned 8 days later at Sunday lunchtime and we had to wait for a table.
