    The staff was kind and welcoming, they even let us check in several hours before their official check-in. Other than that the hostel has a great location if you want to go hiking and explore the beautiful landscape. They even offer free ferry tickets. We don’t have any complaints

    Excellent location, with a beautiful view on the Elbe river and the Altrathen castle. Villa Rapunzel itself is a very interesting and beautiful building, having its own tower, where you can lock a naughty princess ;) The landlords are very, very nice and friendly, and able to provide a lot of information regarding Rathen and neighbouring tourist attractions (in German language). If one wants to really enjoy Rathen and neighbouring attractions, they should come to Kurort Rathen for at least two weeks!

    keys have to be collected from hotel some 200 m away but not a big deal even though the house is close to a busy railway track it is well insulated and quiet (but the windows have to be closed)

    The house is very nice and clean. The location is great, just by the Elbe, very peaceful and quiet. It's a bit difficult to find by car, and Google maps sends you somewhere else, but if you follow the hosts' instruction, you should be able to find it.
