It seemed entirely without pretence - just an honest, value for money experience. We loved the huge vista from the (very underused) chairs at the end of the (equally underused) path. It was nice to use the pool after a long ride on our motorbike on the superb roads in the area. We booked a room with pool views, which was nice. We ate in the restaurant and the food was well cooked and the portions were a good size, the views from the terrace in the evening, and watching the sun set over the mountains was something else! It is on the border of a national park with plenty of hiking and sightseeing and close to several small mountain towns overflowing with history and charisma.
