The Log House is beautiful and as advertised. The host welcomed and showed us around the property. He was very responsive before and throughout our stay. I requested the sauna to be ready for our arrival and it was. The apartment was stocked with some beverages and instant meals, which we were very grateful for. It seemed to be the perfect spot to see the northern lights— either from the jacuzzi on the deck or anywhere within the property. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were not in our favor that night. Overall, I think this is a wondeful getaway location not too far from the bustling city. Just note that the host lives in the house next door… yet, it’s all in a secluded area and very quiet. Know that this apartment is around 26 km from the city center and there are no amenities nearby. You can purchase some instant meals and other food items from the supermarket as there’s an electric kettle and fridge in the room. Since we didn’t have a vehicle, we relied on a taxi. The rides are not cheap in December, but I knew what to expect and don’t regret spending what I did. Honestly, two nights would have been ideal! If you have a vehicle, then it would be easier to move around. Thank you for hosting us and the gift —nailed it with my favorite chocolates. Cheers!

Everything.. this place is amazing. The location is brilliant. It's literally in the middle of the forest very remote, but with a hired car, you can easily get about to places like santa Village, etc. We stayed for 2 nights. The beds were sooo comfy. The owners were really lovely and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant part was amazing. We had our evening meal there and it was delicious. The chef was amazing. Gave recommendations on what to have. We also had breakfast, which was equally as good. They even had their own reindeer. And the northern lights made an appearance on our last night. The shower is in a separate building, but it's literally a stone throw away . It's like a large cubicle in another cabin, which is specifically for you and the people you're staying with. They have a sauna and hot tub if you want to use them. The drive from the road up to the cabin is really pretty. Overall, there are no complaints, and I would definitely recommend it.

It was a wonderful stay. The host was very warm and prepared lots of snacks and gifts for us. The decoration of the whole house made us Asian customers feel the festive atmosphere of Christmas clearly. My friends and I like it very much. If there is a chance, I will bring my parents to stay here again.

The decor was charming, it was a beautiful log cabin styled home. I love that there was always mood lighting like candles around the place. The hosts were so kind and went above and beyond in every way possible. The location, while it was a while from Rovaniemi, it offered peace and serenity AND you can see the northern lights right there from the property instead of paying for an excursion. We recommend booking a rental car so you have total independence. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts kindly let us access coffee/tea throughout the day. The sauna was fantastic also! Definitely add this to your stay :)
