Absolutely unforgettable! This charming B&B is a true hidden gem, made even more special by the warm and welcoming host, Sylvie. From the moment we arrived, her positivity and hospitality made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond, recommending and even reserving a fantastic dinner for us at La Riviera on the Loire. The evening ended perfectly with a friendly card game and a relaxing dip in the warm pool. Breakfast was a highlight—everything homemade, from the yogurt to the jams. A magical stay we didn’t want to end!

Excellent, quiet, air-conditioned room with a nice view on the river Loire. Very helpful and friendly owners, who made us feel at home right away. The hotel has a boutique vibe that spoke to us. We absolutely loved the Spa (especially the Jacuzzi and tea area.). Breakfast was brilliant with home made banana cake and freshly baked pancakes. We loved it here and would definitely recommend.

Everything was perfect and Charlette and Guillaume were so helpful as my husband was not well during the night. Although they were expecting guests at midday they allowed us to stay in their garden and private rooms until we were ready to leave. Although my husband recovered, cycling that day was out of the question and Guillaume suggested taking the train to our next destination, finding out the times of the trains to Saumur. Thank you both so much for your help, it was really appreciated. We were able to continue our journey from Thouars as planned without further mishap.

Very light and airy. Spacious. Easy to store bikes in the entrance hall. Big bathroom. A few shops close by open in the morning. Supermarket about 5 km away, so if cycling, go there before arriving.

    Location if you are driving south from Calais it’s 5 and a half hours. Immaculately clean, never seen cleaner floors before. Little kitchenette adjacent to room with microwave, fridge etc so we didn’t have to “go out” again once we got there. Standard room was large with plenty of space. Great views and huge windows and electric blackout shutters. Lovely lounge downstairs and breakfast was substantial.

    Beautiful chateau surrounded by beautiful countryside. Rooms are bright and very clean. Bed very comfortable. Didn’t have breakfast as we had an early start. We’ve tried a few different hotels while travelling through France from UK to Spain and this has been our favourite. We Will definitely book again for next year when passing through.

    Lovely clean big airy room in a fab chateau with a social purpose…. Friendly welcome, lovely mainly organic breakfast including soya milk, yoghurt, cereal, cold meats, cheese, baguette, croissants, brioche and cakes. Jam and honey, fresh fruit, coffee and tea. Perfectly adequate and buffet style. Quiet location and if you need dinner, food can be arranged although not a restaurant. We enjoyed walks in the wooded area and a village morning walk on fairly quiet roads

    Excellent staff and location. The chateau is in the middle of a very nice area. If you are looking to disconnect this place is for you. The breakfast and the service dinner are amazing, gourmet. Very happy with the hotel and experience.

    Charming chateau in a lovely rural location. Room very comfortable with a stunning view. Staff really helpful. Good breakfast. Being able to walk out into the forest was a bonus. Also liked the not for profit charitable ethos.
