Quite literally everything. A beautiful property steeped in history and set in lovely surroundings. The interior is glorious. Every detail is thought of. The couple who live here have faultless taste and have created something truly special. They have cleverly managed to create a very comfortable place set in an incredibly old property. With the most wonderful juxtaposition of old and modern balanced so well. In our room, the Kings Room, the bed was so comfortable with feather pillow. So light and airy. Every detail you would require and more including a Santa Maria Novella pomegranate to create a scent. A real treat.

It was a dark and starry night when we arrived. There is very little light pollution so on a clear night you feel like you can see forever - billions of stars in the Milky Way. In the mornings it was phenomenal to see the stunning surroundings that this cottage sits in - forest, apple and chestnut orchards, and hills. It is winter, so it is cold outside, but we were fortunate to have perfect weather - blue skies and sunshine. The cottage is very cozy, and has a lovely wood-fired stove to keep it warm. Our two very active dogs loved the property and surroundings too - there was about 1200 square meters, all securely fenced, for them to run about in. It was lovely to meet the owners too and learn about the area. There is a butcher, bakery, pattisierri, and Super U supermarket about 15km away which catered to all our food and drink needs.

    It was perfect. Charming place with two outside areas to sit. Secure parking. I received a warm welcome from Sylvie. Everything had been thought of within the accommodation. As well as looking nice, the room was large, comfortable and very clean. It was well equipped including a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, cutlery, plates etc. Sylvie had made available some coffee, tea, bisuicts/cake, bottled water. I would not hesitate to return and likewise, I would highly recommend it to other travellers. THANK you, Sylvie!
