Location is in the center of Strangford, very near Strangford castle and the ferry, and not far from Castle Ward (Winterfell from Game of Thrones). At least three pubs are nearby for food, and there's a convenience store nearby too. Apartment is furnished nicely, with a very comfy sofa and bed. Parking was available on the street right outside the door. There's a fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, cutlery etc if you don't fancy going out for food. TV with plenty of channels. Breakfast was grand, there was a selection of cereals, fresh milk and orange, bread/soda bread, jams, teas, coffees and fruit from the fridge to eat.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, en suite. The bed is super comfy. Location is fantastic, few steps up the hill you have a panoramic view of the bay, accross to Strangford and it was the day of the festival so they had a spotlight. The night ferry looked magic with all the lights. The host, Sandra is a very nice and knowledgeable person, she gave me an evening tour of Portaferry and this was the most enjoyable then travelling solo. Also she texted me in advance about the festival so was able to change my plan due to traffic.

The house is located in a stunning part of the world. Endless amounts of coastline to visit, it is in a very quiet town, however we did visit the local pub and was made very welcome by the locals. We went as 2 familes and was very spacious for us all and lots of room for the kids to play and the playground on the doorstep is ideal for families. We had a great time, and already have spoken about when we can return. Would highly recommend this hidden gem

    Beautiful location and the views from the room were just stunning. The room itself was spotless and lovely touches like fresh milk, wheaten bread and fruit were really appreciated. The host Kenny was friendly and helpful letting us know about places of interest. The bed was very comfortable and had the softest bedding, so we slept really well.

    A real gem find. A well set out studio with a fantastic view of the island. A nice quiet location within easy reach to a number of locations. Kenny is a great host and very helpful. Would definitely go back if we lived in Ireland.

    Fantastic location and Kenny was a great host coming out to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed, and say goodbye giving us a little of the history of the property. We even managed to see some basking seals as we'd hoped and are now watching Bloodlands where the property appeared!
