Sally was wonderful, very accommodating and very welcoming. She was very kind and helped me fix my booking mistake, and stayed back for a later check-in as we hit bad traffic on the multi hour drive to the hotel. Beautiful tea room area, the breakfast was always great and the other staff were always helpful and courteous. The room was clean and well made up, the shower was great, good pressure, the heat range was good and stable. Great light blocking curtains. Open-shelving clothing rack made the room feel bigger and I didn't have to worry if I left something as I could always see what I hung or stowed away. Super close to the aqueduct and canal nearby.

Wonderful hosts! I was given a very nice and cosy room overlooking the river. It took just two minutes to walk to the charming little town. I was travelling by bicycle and my clothes needed washing after a few days. They offered me to wash them immediately and I was able to continue my journey the next day in clean-smelling cycling gear! Thank you very much! In addition to the delicious and lovingly prepared breakfast, it was little things like this that, made my long journey so enjoyable!

    Lovely simple hotel that was perfect for the one night stay while doing some longer driving. As a lot of the reviews say, older interior but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A nice change from some of the chain hotels that have no personality or character and cost more. Great location off the main road. You can hear the cars with the window opens but very quiet with them closed.
