Our stay at The View was superb. On arrival things were made simple with clear and concise directions and instructions. Upon entering the property it had surpassed our expectations and was incredibly well presented, clean, and had all the amenities that were required, along with some very nice personal touches. It was very comfortable and very homely. The only negative was that we had only booked one night and wish we would have stayed longer. Which we no doubt will in the future. We would like to thank the hosts Lisa and Pete for the use of their property.

Where do I even start...it was AMAZING! The staff first and foremost were brilliant, starting with Sarah, who welcomed me with a huge smile and means to help in any way she could (like having my room ready a bit earlier than check in time or going through all there is to know about my staying), and then there was the lovely Allison at breakfast, so cheerful and sunny. I felt real love for the job from these two. The rest of the crew I didn't meat unfortunately. The room that I got was H-U-G-E and absolutely perfect in style and comfort. Bed was big and very comfy, the heating was just right, felt like home. Can't praise enough. That's exactly the way I would like all the hotels or RBNBs to be like.

I had a wonderful stay! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. My room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. Not to mention the exceptional restaurant (listed in the Michelin Guide, which speaks for itself) and the beautiful Sunday roast I enjoyed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Derbyshire!

Very cosy, clean studio; 10 min walk from amazing pub (top 10 in Britain). Area is very nice and close to Bakewell and other spots. Loved the sheep theme, it was very cute. Self check in was very easy.

From the moment I booked the team at Merchants Yard went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible stay. Nothing was a problem for them, organising flowers as we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary, booking a table for dinner, offering advice on things to do near by and much much more. On check in the team were brilliant, friendly welcome and a complimentary drink (thank you). Throughout our stay the team were amazing, always happy and made sure we had everything we needed.     Beautiful location, also very convenient when you don't have a car, close to several pubs, the shop and some great walks! Room was lovely, very clean and a comfortable bed. The host was fantastic, very helpful & friendly and we enjoyed hearing his stories over a lovely breakfast. Thank you for making our first visit to the Peak District memorable!
