On our arrival, we were welcomed by the host and treated to a lovely pot of tea and apple cinnamon cake (delicious). She showed us to our room and areas in the house where we could relax. She also told us about Woods deli just around the corner, where we could have breakfast. Ideal location, just off the A40 as a stop off point when travelling down the country.

Everything was as described and reviewed. We did have high expectations and they were certainly met. The host was very attentive and kind. The Nagshead nature reserve was within walking distance, nice forest path into the village and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Thank you.

Excellent location, food and staff were so accommodating as we had a small dog in our group (he stayed at the Royal Lodge) and breakfast was moved and service in the bar area to suit him! Staff were also very forgiving when we set off the fire alarm with a birthday cake candle ! The location is fantastic as we were lucky enough to have the room with balcony overlooking the rope ferry etc !

    The lodge is on a private estate in a quiet location. It would be advisable to get directions from the owners as our sat nav sent us to the wrong place. It is ideally situated for the interesting puzzlewood and clearwell caves ( closed tues/weds.) Plus other attractions are all near by. We found the lodge to be comfortable and well equipmented with Netflix available. All in all a lovely place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate recommending Liberty Lodge.

    The house was ideally located within walking distance of the town. The kitchen was well equipped and the provision of bread and milk was a nice touch. The stairs were steep but this had been detailed. It was ideal with the dog that she could remain downstairs and there was as ample space for her crate without it having to be in plain site. The bathroom was spotless and the beds cosy.
